Pibbles & Me was created after several attempts at a perfect blog name. I think Pibbles & Me sums up my blog to a tee!
So what or who is Pibbles? Pibbles is a nickname for pit bull or bully breed. My Pibble’s name is Titan. He’s an American Bulldog/American Staffordshire mix.
I rescued Titan back in August 2010 from a shelter. His history was simple. He was twice homed and had two previous names.
I’ve had dogs in my past but none that were a dysfunctional as this lil guy; and never had a bully. He had very little socialization, very little if any training, was not potty trained (despite what I was told), and spent the first year of his life outside. ALL THE TIME!
My work was cut out for me. After almost two (2) hours at the shelter that night, texting my hubs and sending him pics, I decided, I HAD to have him. How could anyone refuse this lil guy another chance at a good home? I couldn’t.
The next day I went back and rescued him.
