I know it’s been quite awhile since I posted and I finally got a minute to get some Titan pics ready and share a little review with ya.
The Jolly Tug is made by Jolly Pets, and I might add, I love Jolly Pets! We buy lots of their toys for Titan. The Jolly Tug is a pretty cool tug toy that both Momma and Titan can play with or if Titan had another doggy friend, they could play.
So Momma gets one end, Titan they other and we tug. As we tug, there is a huge squeaker inside that SQUEAKS at ya, making Titan pull that much more because he LOVES squeaks and squeals.
We didn’t waste any time breaking this lil gem in!
The first thing I noticed is OUCH!! It hurts my hand! Titan is very strong however, to even hold on via this handle is a crock imo. OWEY!!
Titan has no problem gripping the other handle and, as always, he gets it away from me.
We play with it for a bit and then all of a sudden….
Needless to say, this Jolly Tug didn’t make it 2 days, and it only made it to the 2nd day, because I hid it from him on the 1st day!
On day 2, we began playing again, as it slowly began to unravel in our hands. For the price we paid, I’m disappointed however, I know what a power tugger I have. Not sure if I can blame it on a fault toy or just a ambullmastiff power boy.
I let Titan have it for about 5 minutes and this is the result…….
A very happy and smiley pibbles because, like a kid with a box of Cracker Jacks,
Titan got to the prize inside!
Have you tried a Jolly Tug and if so, we’re you pleased?

Wow, I can’t believe he broke the threads in a day Bren. Does the manufacturer often anything for that? I wonder if others dogs are able to do that too
Love that 2nd photo so cute.

It was actually like in the first hour of us playing with it. He kept pulling, I pulled and was like “Oh wow!” Very disappointed in this toy. I know I have a power chewer/puller so sometimes a lot of toys just don’t last, no fault of the toy. I’m hoping someone else pipes in that had the toy so I know if it’s just us or not
Hi Brenda,
Titan looks like a super model in a commercial
He has the awesome look as always, but once seen him terrified with poor nail.
I wonder what is the toy that last long for most days with Titan
Hope he’s getting better with his nail and wish for speed recovery.
Cheers…

Awww thanks Mayura! That mini slideshow is cool, no? Sometimes toys last, sometimes they are done in minutes. It’s just one of those things with these bullies. Nail is ok, he’s getting tired and cranky about soaking it. Couple more weeks and hopefully the nail episode will be done
Well there goes that toy. It looked fun while it lasted though lol

Oh he definitely had fun with it! Momma, not so much. It hurt my hand too much!
Hi Brenda looks like fun but toys like that won’t last vertigo long they have to be that hard rubber, the problem with that is they sometimes break is peaces and I dont like they swolling them.
Thanks for sharing Titan play toy he looks like he’s having fun.

Hi Rob! Very true! Titan is supervised with every toy and every bone and treat he eats. He’s one of those chew chew swallow kind of dogs :/ Speaking of swallowing, he got away with swallowing about a 2-3″ fuzzy kong wubba leg on Sunday. I’m still freaking out about it because I haven’t seen it come out yet. Talked to my vet this morning and now just waiting on the signs. Always something with these boogers.
Aw well, looks like he had fun anyways. Shiner does the same thing with toys.

That toy looked cool; it’s too bad it wasn’t so great to play with! I guess I will have to stick with my trusty rope toy for tug

I’m with ya Remy! I have to cut the tassles off the rope tugs but they do hold up very well! Good choice!
Hey there Bren,
I like the toy, looks like something my furbabies would like to play with but Bubba is the destroyer and the toys don’t last very long here either
Love the pictures, he’s just too cute! Great review girlfriend!

Thanks Corina! Yea, I wouldn’t recommend this for any power chewer/tugger or any dog over 60 lbs.
Lol. looked what had happened in the end.
Your dog looked satisfied that he had broken his toy.
Oh he was satisfied alright. Can’t ha see him smiling in that pic?
Love the slideshow!
Shame the toy didn’t last very long, but, Titan sure was having a good time with it.

Thanks Debbie! He’s usually happy with all his toys even when he tears them up!
I was really excited about this toy!! Hate that it did not hold up long. At least you were able to get some great pictures!!

Heather, your babes might do better than T and I did. We play HARD.
Didn’t expect it to start pulling apart though in the first hour :/
Hi Brenda
Unfortunately a lot of these dog toys aren’t made for any dog that has a bit of power behind them. Sometimes I think they are just put together in toy factories that have no understanding of what they will really be put through. We had a Staffordshire bull terrier which compared to Titan was tiny and she used to demolish practically all the toys we got her in no time.
Great read thanks lee
You’re absolutely right but being we’ve had such good luck with other Jolly Toys, we had big hopes for this one. Live and learn and move on. We’re already over it, just won’t buy it again. Thanks for sharing!
