Blog Schedules

If you haven’t noticed, I’ve cut back on my posts. I used to try to blog every day. Shew! That’s tough stuff plus it wears you out quick! So I thought it was best to come up with a blog schedule to make it easier on me.

So far, it’s been working well. Well enough that I was able to restart my other blog, previously the Pagan in Me, now In “Nature” I Believe and keep up with my duties as pit bull momma and wifey! :)

That said, normal blog schedule for Pibbles & Me will be:

  • Monday
  • Wednesday
  • Friday

In the event of something spectacular happening or Pibbles & Me News, I will post as necessary (as I’ve done with this post).  Anyway, just wanted to keep you, my friends and readers, up-to-date on the happenings of Pibbles & Me!

As always, thank you for being loyal supporters! It is very much appreciated and I love you all! Muwah!

  1. Scheduling blog posts *is* recommended. For some that works, for some it does not. It’s just what suits you best.
I like to do 2 to 3 blog posts a week, but not on fixed dates. That’s kinda hard for me, because the urge to blog happens like the urge to go number two… ;)

    • LMAO #2! Ack!! I know what you mean. Thank goodness for that loving “scheduling” of post on WP. I already have the next 2 weeks done! :) I feel so ahead of myself! :)

  2. LOL on Jans comment, that happened to me today with mine. It had to just come out and could not wait til am as usual. Good luck with the schedule Brenda. You know us faithful always find you :)

    • Of course, those kind of “spare of the moments” posts will happen :) . I just plan on keeping a normal schedule of 3 days per week. Lightens the load a bit.

I had a schedule but yeah, that didn’t work. I usually post whenever and then backdate as necessary :)

  4. Hi Brenda
Posting every day is a tough schedule, even three times a week puts me to shame!
I post once a week, but each post is pretty detailed and with one post a week I get pretty good traffic and sales.

I have thought of splitting posts in to a number of less detailed ones, but figured that I would dilute the SEO value for each post.

BTW love the Adorable Child theme – always good to meet another Genesis user.

    • Hi Keith and thank you!

I guess depending on your niche may determine your schedule or if you have a business type blog. I know those who post every day. I just can’t, not with other priorities such as a full-time job and family life. So instead of pushing, I decided to cut back. I’m happy with my schedule now. :)

BTW, I LOVE Genesis! I have purchased several themes but Adorable and Glitter & Lace are my fav! I’m using Glitter & Lace on my other blog, http://www.paganinme.com.

  5. Hi Brenda,

Glad you are going with scheduling and so you’re on a plan :) It’s perfect, but you gotta see how it goes, right? :) Experiments… Experiments… and Experiments…

I’ve got a question for ya. That means you gonna post about love on Monday, about Titan on Wednesday and GIRLS ONLY topics on Friday? ;) LOL… Jus’ curious…

    Cheers…

    • LMAO Ummmm, I’m not doing Day specific Topics. No way possible for me to do that because I post so many different topics. It’ll be a hodgepodge for now. ;)

  6. I’m on a schedule too, that challenge I did last month along with my move wore me out.

  7. Agree with Jan ;)

I like to stick to a consistent schedule, but not regularity (as in posting on a specific day). This not only open flexibility, but also helps us to build anticipation. I used to apply this when I was posting 2-3 per week. In one week, I would post on Mondays and Thursdays and in another Monday and Wednesday. My reader has no clue when I am going to post (but they will watch out for it, at least the loyal ones will; so anticipation)

Nowadays, I follow the once a week posting schedule, works great, have great flexibility and lots of time to comment and interact with bloggers ;)

    • Thanks Jeevan! That’s actually a pretty good idea on flexing the days. I’ll see how my Mon, Wed, Fri goes and if I can’t do it, maybe I’ll switch up again! :)

Woof at us ;) !
